Students and their education are integral to our mission at the Center for the History of Medicine, where we actively foster dialog in the medical humanities, mentor individuals, and provide hands-on opportunities in medical historical research. We encourage interested medical, graduate, and professional students to contact us to discuss opportunities to investigate and experience key elements of research in the medical humanities. For more information, email the Center.
The Center also hosts monthly lectures as part of the CHM-sponsored Society for the History and Philosophy of Medicine student group. The Society dates back to 1929, and is the longest continually-running medical student organization of its kind. Please join us for these monthly lectures! Society co-leaders for the 2023-24 academic year are Brian Lara (email) and Jeremy Hogaboom (email).
