The Center for the History of Medicine, in collaboration with the U-M Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation and the U-M School of Public Health, is pleased to announce the 15th Annual Horace W. Davenport Lecture in the Medical Humanities. This year we have invited Sara Rosenbaum, Professor of Health Law and Policy at George Washington University. Prof. Rosenbaum has devoted her lengthy career to the issue of health justice for medically underserved populations, including working with several presidential administrations and Congresses. She is a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, and serves on the CDC Director’s Advisory Committee. Prof. Rosenbaum’s lecture, “Access to the Courts, Justice for the Poor: A Case Study of Medicaid,” will be held on Thursday, April 14 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm in the Lane Auditorium (room 1690) of the U-M School of Public health. A light reception will follow.
The event is free and open to the public.
